Description

Gorham Martele Sterling Silver Bonbon Dish. Martele was a limited production line of the finest silver produced by Gorham from the 1890’s until the 1930’s. All pieces are handmade and are therefore unique. This wonderfully fluid art nouveau bowl was made by silversmith Charles Johnson, and hand-chased in a floral design by silversmith Edmund Lewis. It measures 8 1/4″ long, 6″ wide and stands 1 3/4″ tall.  Superb original condition with an unpolished satin patina. Fully hallmarked and retailed by Spaulding & Co, Chicago. Total weight is 10.25 oz.
