Monumental Edwardian Era Sterling Silver Epergne. Produced in Sheffield, England by James Dixon & Sons c.1908, and retailed by Mappin & Webb. Stands 14 1/2″ tall with round base of openwork with floral, foliate and scroll motif, supported on four robust leaf and scroll feet. Large pierced, removable, central basket measures 12 3/4″ in diameter. Four scrolling arms each holding removable pierced basket measuring 8″ in diameter. Entire piece is in superb original condition. Fully hallmarked on base, baskets and arms. James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield, Sterling and 1908 date mark. Total weight is approx. 165 oz.
